BE A MEMBER

 

The Canadian Chamber of Commerice in Laos is a nonpartisan, nonprofit business organization. CanChamLaos advocates the principles of free trade, open markets, private enterprise, the unrestricted flow of information and ethical business practices. CanChamLaos’ mission is to foster commerce between the Canada and Laos and to enhance Lao structure as an international business center. We further work to build capacity in Laos through academic pursuits and seek to engage the Canadian Community and Alumni in fun.


MEMBERSHIP QUALIFICATIONS

CanChamLaos consists of members who are individuals or juristic persons engaged in trade, service, independent profession, industrial, agricultural, finance, or economic activities. Each member must be accepted and approved for membership by the Board of Directors.

Corporate

 

DEFINITION

Corporate Members shall be limited to juristic persons of good standing which are domiciled in or maintain a permanent branch in Lao PDR ( including non-government organizations of a non-profit status)

Corporate Members shall pay annual dues as set forth by the Board of Directors.

 

COST

500 USD membership per year


 

SME

 

SME Members are entitled to vote and hold elective office.SME Members shall pay annual dues as set forth by the Board of Directors.

 

250 USD membership per year


 

Individual

 

The Board may accept on a discretionary basis, non-resident companies or individuals who do not meet the qualifications. Those approved under this status will be called Associate Individuals or Associate Companies . Associate Individual or Companies shall be entitled to all the privileges conferred upon Ordinary members, except that they may neither hold elective office nor vote.

Associate individuals or Companies shall pay annual dues as set forth by the Board of Directors

 

100 USD membership per year


 

Alumni

 

The Board may accept on a discretionary basis, Alumni Members, which shall be limited to individuals of good standing who have attended a Canadian institution of higher learning.

Alumni Members shall be entitled to all the privileges conferred upon Ordinary Members, except that they may neither hold elective office nor vote. Alumni Members shall pay annual dues as set forth by the Board of Directors.

 

50 USD membership per year
